With her Equestrian Canada & BHS (British Horse Society) coaching qualification, more training and certification underway, and decades of work and play with horses, Kat's equestrian experience covers a multitude of disciplines and practice. Kat's focus has always been on first building relationships in order to work stress-free with animals. The fundamental practice of establishing a mutually respectful relationship with your horse is primary. This foundation opens the doors to a lifetime's pleasure with your equine friend whether you ride English or Western.
While Kat grew up riding English and trained with the BHS, she deepened her understanding of Western riding over the past 30 years in Canada.
Kat's equestrian work, like yoga, focuses on the union between the species (Union is the literal translation of Yoga). Working with Kat you can deepen your understanding of equine reactions, how to anticipate, train and react without escalating tension. Kat employs a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience gleaned from a lifetime's practice in bodywork, self-awareness and various forms of training, referencing the expertise of many teachers over the years.
Equine - Masterson Method® Integrated Performance Bodywork, Groundwork or Ridden Exercise and Foundational Re-education. Any or combinations of all these, along with private tuition either on the ground or onboard, are available.
Registered and Licensed with Sport Canada/Equestrian Canada, Masterson Method® .
$60-$100/hr.
Calibre Care - Home & Animal Care
Caring for animals for over 5 decades, Kat has many years of experience living in and maintaining other people's properties. She is bonded, certified in Pet (and Human) First Aid, British Horse Society & EC qualified, experienced with all kinds of dogs, horses, homes and equipment.
$100 minimum per day with up to 6 hours away during the day.
