Equestrian-Human Support Services
With her Equestrian Canada & BHS (British Horse Society) coaching qualification and decades of work and play with horses, Kat's equestrian experience covers a multitude of disciplines and practice. Kat's focus has always been on first building relationships in order to work stress-free with animals. The fundamental practice of establishing a mutually respectful relationship with your horse is primary. This foundation opens the doors to a lifetime's pleasure with your equine friend whether you ride English or Western.
While Kat grew up riding English and trained with the BHS, she has deepened her understanding of Western riding over the past 30 years in Canada.
Kat's equestrian work is another form of yoga. Her focus is on the union between the species (Union is the literal translation of Yoga). Working with Kat you can deepen your understanding of equine reactions, how to anticipate, train and react without escalating tension. Kat employs a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience gleaned from a lifetime's practice in bodywork, self-awareness and various forms of training, referencing the expertise of many teachers over the years.
Exercise, foundational re-education, schooling and private tuition available. Pricing based on hourly rate. Registered and Licensed with Sport Canada/Equestrian Canada.
Calibre Care - Home & Animal Care
Caring for animals for over 5 decades, Kat is used to living in and maintaining other people's properties. She is bonded, certified in Pet (and Human) First Aid, British Horse Society qualified, and experienced with all kinds of dogs, horses, homes and equipment. Pricing is based on an overnight stay with up to 6 hours away during the day.
Canine Support Services
A lover of dogs since childhood, there's no hardship spending time with our beloved fur friends. Whether you need a live-in carer while you are away, or just the odd day or part-day of drop-in / feeding / walking, anything is possible. Pricing based on hourly rate.
