References
Kat's yoga is designed to be safe, fun and experiential. From an alignment-based foundation in Hatha yoga that helps us prevent injury through awareness and a laughter-fuelled origin, our yoga sessions develop organically to address relevant issues and needs.
Beginner, Intermediate, Experienced - we are all the same if we approach our bodies and our health with a positive outlook. Yoga is there to be re-learned on a daily basis, to be explored, enjoyed and developed.
Learn, practice, discuss, progress, amaze yourself with your own abilities!
Appointments available at Kat's Home Studio south of Bragg Creek, pricing is flexible.
Sessions are generally 60-90 minutes in duration.

What about the Yoga?
I really want people to come out to play and have fun.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done yoga before, or perhaps have done yoga and maybe acquired an injury or just didn’t enjoy your experience? Please come and try it out in a new context. If you are nervous about committing & think it might not be for you, drop me a line so we can work out an arrangement to give you the chance to try it and see.
I craft my classes so that a complete beginner will be comfortable, yet gently challenged. Modifications and adjustments can always be made to give greater challenges where desired, or to make an hitherto impossible posture available to anyone, given the desire and willingness to try something different.
This is about getting together, stretching, bending, building strength AND rehabilitating our bodies from prior injury or inactivity. Working over an extended period, we get to discover not only our own limitations and abilities, but also to support each other through our individual progression. As a group we can sculpt the course as we go along, addressing anything that comes up – for fun, for therapy, for any reason that drives us.
I will bring in elements from many aspects of the healing arts to support us on our yoga journey; we focus first on foundation exercises to loosen the body and mind, free the breath and bring us to a place where we can build and progress through more challenging postures and practices. Beginner’s Mind is the philosophy of happy learning and lifelong practice - there is always something new to learn.
Those who know me know that I talk... a lot! There will be an abundance of explanations. I will talk you through any concerns or challenges. If you ask a question and I don't have the answer, I'll go away and try to find you one.
I enjoy my yoga sessions as a two-way conversation, I want to know what you enjoy too. There will be plenty of opportunity for feedback and special requests. This is YOUR yoga after all.
Looking forward to seeing you on the mat.
